This was my gateway drug. The one that started it all back in 1984.

I discovered comic books in a small Pennsylvania steel town when I was barely 10 years old. I wandered into a local shop that I would always buy candy from. That day I noticed a display of thin books with colorful covers. Some had characters I knew. Spider-Man, Superman & Hulk. That was baby stuff I thought. Then I noticed this silver robot character with an odd-looking weapon fighting a flesh zombie. Wow! I had to have it. I used all the money I had at the time (60 cents) and purchased it. I was mesmerized. I read it front to back. Back to front. Day after day, week after week. But wait. It's numbered? Do you mean there are more?

That was it. Fast forward 35 years later. I've been collecting ever since. What was once a hobby I loved turned into a business that I love even more.
